iPad 2 - What I Expect

Well I hope everyone had a good holiday and I wish you all a happy New Year. With January coming up, a new iPad should be announced late next month. Many improvements and additions will be made, and here are my expectations:

A Front-Facing Camera
Apple has really been pushing FaceTime since it's introduction on the iPhone 4. It's since been added to the iPod touch, and the Mac. FaceTime for iPad is almost guaranteed to happen. What about a rear camera? I don't think it'll happen. It might, but it's not likely. Who's going to use such a big device as a digital camera? Think about it, the iPad is supposed to be like a computer. Computers don't have cameras in the back of them to act like a digital camera. The have front-facing cameras for video chatting.

A Second Dock-Connector
A second 30-pin Dock-Connecter on the side of the iPad 2 would be very convenient. It would mean you could use that Keyboard dock in landscape mode or even charge out of the side and clear up the bottom. You could use the Camera Connection Kit could be used while charging.

External Changes
Knowing Apple, we know the like things thin and light. The iPad is already crazily thin  at just a half an inch thick at it's thickest point, but Apple will definitely make the device thinner.

Internal Improvements
Again, Apple always tries to make their devices as fast and efficient as possible. I think we can expect 512MB of RAM and possibly a faster version of the Apple A4.

Gyroscope
The iPad is the only iDevice that doesn't have a gyroscope, so this one is almost a given.

So those are what I expect for January, but you might have a different opinion and I'd be happy to hear those.
